Maruti Suzuki Victoris Clocks 13,496 October Sales, Edges Past Grand Vitara

Reports credit Arena-channel reach alongside a broad powertrain mix for the early lead.

Overview

  • The Victoris’ first full month helped Maruti’s two midsize SUVs top just over 23,900 units in October 2025.
  • Hyundai Creta led the segment with 18,381 units and Mahindra Scorpio followed at 18,107, with Victoris next and ahead of Toyota Hyryder (11,555) and Kia Seltos (7,130).
  • The Victoris is sold through Maruti’s mass-market Arena outlets, while the Grand Vitara is retailed via the Nexa network, a split cited as boosting Victoris volumes.
  • Order books for the Victoris have crossed 25,000 with a reported 2–3 month waiting period, after September dispatches of 4,261 units before the October ramp-up.
  • Priced from about Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Victoris offers petrol, CNG and strong hybrid options and has five-star ratings from Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP.
