He will now serve as an ambassador, engaging with fans and business partners and making media appearances.
Anthony Becht, a former Jets tight end, will succeed Lyons in the radio booth.
Becht has prior experience in TV analysis for college and pro football, including Jets' preseason broadcasts.
The Jets' radio broadcasts will move to Q104.3-FM this season, ending their run on ESPN New York.
