Martin Ajdari Proposed as Next President of Arcom

The seasoned media executive and current deputy director of the Paris Opera awaits parliamentary approval to succeed Roch-Olivier Maistre in February 2025.

Martin Ajdari, 55, has been nominated by the Élysée to lead the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom), replacing Roch-Olivier Maistre.
The announcement was made earlier than expected, with Ajdari's confirmation pending approval from the cultural commissions of the French National Assembly and Senate.
Ajdari brings extensive experience in media and cultural institutions, having held leadership roles at Radio France, France Télévisions, and the Ministry of Culture.
Currently serving as deputy director of the Paris Opera, Ajdari is credited with improving its financial performance and implementing strategic reforms since 2020.
Arcom, formerly the CSA, oversees key responsibilities such as managing broadcast frequencies, ensuring media pluralism, and regulating online platforms in France.
