Marquez Tops Misano Warm-Up After Sprint Crash, Bezzecchi 0.038s Back

He bounced back from Saturday’s fall with a 1:31.386 lap on a cool, drying track.

Overview

  • Marc Marquez set the Warm-up benchmark at 1:31.386, edging polesitter and Sprint winner Marco Bezzecchi by 0.038 seconds.
  • Alex Marquez was third ahead of Fabio Quartararo, with Miguel Oliveira, Luca Marini, Jack Miller and Pedro Acosta next; Francesco Bagnaia placed ninth and Joan Mir tenth.
  • Overnight rain cleared to dry, sunny conditions with a cool 21°C track, and most riders used a soft front and medium rear tyre in the 10‑minute session.
  • Joan Mir, who skipped the Sprint due to neck pain, completed Warm-up and is evaluating a race start, while Maverick Vinales limited himself to an out-lap because of a shoulder issue but plans to race.
  • Marquez said his Sprint crash was his own error after a risky overtake and misjudged front-tyre temperature, adding he aims to ride more controlled in the Grand Prix set for 14:00 local time over 27 laps.
