Overview

• In January 2023 Slade, then a serving West Mercia officer, sexually assaulted five victims in Maidstone by non-consensual touching.
• He pleaded guilty to five counts of sexual assault at Maidstone Crown Court in September 2023 and resigned before a formal dismissal could be enacted.
• The June 27, 2025 hearing ruled that his actions amounted to gross misconduct under the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
• He will be added to the College of Policing Barred List, effectively barring him from future service in any UK police force.
• A sentencing date at Maidstone Crown Court has yet to be scheduled following the misconduct ruling.
