Actor Mark Ruffalo recently shared that he was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor 23 years ago, which he discovered through a dream.
He decided to wait until after his wife, Sunrise Coigney, gave birth to their first child to tell her about his diagnosis.
Ruffalo underwent surgery to remove the tumor, which left him completely deaf in one ear and temporarily paralyzed on the left side of his face.
The paralysis eventually resolved after about a year, but Ruffalo still suffers from hearing loss.
Despite the health scare, Ruffalo has continued his successful acting career, earning four Oscar nominations.
