Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy were laid off by ESPN as part of company-wide cutbacks.
Doris Burke is expected to be promoted to work alongside Mike Breen on the NBA Finals broadcast.
Former coach Doc Rivers is close to finalizing a deal to join Burke and Breen on ESPN's top NBA team.
Burke would be the first woman to serve as TV analyst for the NBA Finals if promoted.
Jackson had been part of ESPN's lead NBA crew since 2014, working 15 Finals with Breen and Van Gundy.
