Mark Daigneault to Coach in NBA All-Star Game's New Tournament Format

Mark Daigneault becomes the first Oklahoma City Thunder head coach since 2013-14 to be selected as an NBA All-Star Game coach.
The Thunder secured the best record in the Western Conference through February 2, 2025, with a 35-7 record after a decisive win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will feature a new tournament format with four teams, including three drafted by TNT analysts and one composed of Rising Stars competition winners.
An assistant coach from the Thunder will also head one of the All-Star teams, while the remaining coaching spots will go to the Eastern Conference's top team duo.
Daigneault credits the achievement to his players, staff, and the organization's collective efforts, following his 2023-24 Coach of the Year recognition.
