Overview
- The $9 million funding package comprises $5 million from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, $2.9 million from Nova Scotia, $840,000 from Prince Edward Island and $458,000 from New Brunswick.
- Under the pilot program, PAL Airlines will operate daily regional flights via Halifax linking Sydney, Charlottetown, Fredericton, Moncton.
- Reinstated service will restore two daily return flights on the Sydney–Halifax route at J. A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport.
- Pascan Aviation withdrew its Sydney–Halifax service on July 20 after reviewing demand and operational viability.
