Overview

• Nintendo released Version 1.2.1 on August 19, 2025.
• The patch fixes a Time Attack issue where selecting "Ghost and Race" or "Watch Replay" immediately after downloading a ghost could play a different ghost.
• Online multiplayer and other online features now require the latest updated data.
• Installing Version 1.2.1 prevents local communication and LAN play with users on Version 1.1.2 or earlier.
• This is a small maintenance update compared with July’s broader Version 1.2.0 adjustments and fixes.
