Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Final DLC Adds New Tracks, Racers, Set to Launch November 9

Final wave of DLC includes fan-favorite tracks like Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road, adds new racers Funky Kong, Pauline and Peachette, and introduces a Music Player feature; the overall course count now reaches 96, doubling the base game's content.

  • Nintendo has announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's final DLC, Booster Course Pass Wave 6, is set to release on November 9. The DLC includes eight new courses, including fan favorites like Nintendo Wii's Rainbow Road, three new racers, and a new music player feature.
  • The DLC adds new cups to the game, specifically the Acorn Cup and Spiny Cup, with four courses in each. The courses are drawn from previous Mario Kart games across SNES, GameCube, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and mobile game, Mario Kart Tour as well as brand new tracks.
  • Three new characters, Funky Kong, Pauline, and Peachette, are introduced in this final wave. Also, players will receive 16 additional Mii Racing Suits, with a bonus Daisy Racing Suit available upon scanning any Daisy Amiibo.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's total course count reaches 96 with the final DLC, double the original number of courses in the base game.
  • The entire Booster Course Pass, including the new DLC, can be purchased for $24.99 or accessed by becoming a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscriber.
