Overview

• On July 14, Task Force Forge officially replaced Task Force Sapper to assume border support operations in Arizona’s Yuma sector.
• The detachment comprises 500 Marines and sailors from Camp Pendleton’s Combat Logistics Battalion 15 working under Joint Task Force–Southern Border.
• Their mission focuses on barrier construction, road improvements and equipment resupply to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol.
• The unit completed weeks of hands-on training alongside Task Force Sapper before the operational handover.
