Mariners Draft Rare Switch-Pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje at No. 15

Cijntje, who can pitch effectively with both hands, brings a unique skill set to Seattle's pitching roster.

Jurrangelo Cijntje was selected 15th overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 2024 MLB Draft.
Cijntje is ambidextrous, capable of pitching with both his left and right hands.
He posted a 3.67 ERA with 113 strikeouts in 90.2 innings for Mississippi State in 2024.
The Mariners will allow Cijntje to decide whether to continue pitching as a switch-pitcher.
Cijntje's inspiration comes from his father, a former professional player, and MLB pitcher Marcus Stroman.
