Marine Le Pen Unharmed in Mayotte Barge Collision

A barge carrying the French politician collided with another vessel, resulting in minor injuries to five individuals but leaving Le Pen and her delegation unscathed.

The collision occurred early Tuesday morning near Grande-Terre, Mayotte's main island, involving two barges, one of which carried Marine Le Pen.
Marine Le Pen, leader of the Rassemblement National (RN), and her delegation were unharmed in the incident.
Five individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital, according to the Service des Transports Maritimes (STM).
The barge was inspected and later returned to the dock, while Le Pen and her team were escorted by border police to the airport to depart for mainland France.
Le Pen had been in Mayotte for a three-day visit to meet residents affected by Cyclone Chido and to critique the government's reconstruction efforts.
