Overview

  • The Marine Corps awarded BAE Systems a $181.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for 31 ACV-30 vehicles to enhance direct fire support in littoral and contested environments.
  • Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace received a $117.9 million modification for 101 PROTECTOR RT20 remote turrets that equip ACV-30s with a stabilized 30 mm medium-caliber cannon and advanced fire control.
  • Production work will take place at five U.S. facilities—60 percent in York, Pennsylvania—and turret assembly will be split between Kongsberg’s plants in Norway and Johnstown, Pennsylvania, with deliveries scheduled through September 2027.
  • Both contract modifications are funded by FY 2025 procurement budgets and managed by Marine Corps Systems Command, covering fielding support, training, documentation and spare parts.
  • Contract options could increase vehicle funding to $3.85 billion; turret spending under current orders could reach $271.4 million and a separate Medium Caliber Turret-30 award could total $330 million.
