Overview

  • On August 5, 2025, the Marine Corps awarded BAE Systems a $181.1 million firm-fixed-price contract for 31 ACV-30 vehicles and Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace a $118 million order for 101 MCT-30 remote turrets.
  • The ACV-30 variant pairs amphibious mobility with a stabilized, remotely operated 30 mm cannon to deliver direct fire support in littoral and contested environments.
  • Vehicle assembly will take place at five U.S. facilities led by BAE Systems Land & Armaments LP in Sterling Heights, Michigan, with 60 percent of work centered in York, Pennsylvania.
  • Kongsberg’s turret production will be split 38 percent in Norway and 62 percent at its Johnstown, Pennsylvania, plant, underscoring transatlantic industrial collaboration.
  • Managed by Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico and funded with FY2025 procurement dollars, the contracts run through 2027 and include options that could raise their ceilings to $3.85 billion for vehicles and $271.4 million for turrets.
