• Marina Donato was 76 when she suffered a suspected cardiac arrest at a Rome restaurant on the night of July 30 and died at Policlinico Umberto I after resuscitation attempts failed.
• She had returned this year to produce the latest edition of “La Corrida” hosted by Amadeus on Nove, underscoring her continued influence in Italian television.
• In 2005 she co-founded production company Corìma with Massimiliano Lancellotti, which went on to co-produce long-running shows such as Forum, La Corrida and Il pranzo è servito.
• Her personal life included a three-decade partnership and 1996 marriage to presenter Corrado Mantoni, followed by a relationship with former magistrate Italo Ormanni until his death in April 2024.
