On Christmas Eve 2024, Germany recorded 927 million music streams, a new single-day record, with Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' leading the charts.
Carey's song was streamed 6.57 million times in 24 hours, narrowly surpassing Wham!'s 'Last Christmas' at 6.54 million streams, both achieving personal bests.
'All I Want for Christmas Is You' tied the record for the longest-running No. 1 single in Germany, with 21 weeks at the top, matching Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207's 'Komet.'
The song has now accumulated 106 weeks on the German charts since its release in 1994, cementing its status as a holiday classic.
Mariah Carey's holiday album 'Merry Christmas' also performed strongly, ranking second in Germany's album charts, while Michael Bublé's 'Christmas' claimed the top spot.
