Overview

• The €100,000 prize was conferred by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and Heidehof Stiftung following the final announcement in Berlin.
• Five schools received €30,000 each: Schule An der Burgweide (Hamburg), Evangelische Gesamtschule Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck (NRW), Questenberg-Grundschule Meißen (Saxony), Jenaplanschule Weimar (Thuringia), and Deutsche Internationale Schule Tiflis (Georgia).
• Evangelische Gesamtschule Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck was named runner-up and marked the result with a school-wide celebration.
• The jury reviewed 112 applications through written submissions, interviews with all schools, and two-day visits to 20 campuses before selecting 15 finalists.
• Awarded annually since 2006, the prize assesses six dimensions of school quality, and remaining nominated schools receive €5,000 recognition awards.
