Marcus Lehto Challenges Battlefield 6 Credits Over Missing Ridgeline Names

The Halo co-creator says former Ridgeline staff behind the campaign’s foundation were sidelined in the official listing.

Overview

  • Lehto said in an Oct. 20 LinkedIn post that many ex-Ridgeline developers were placed in a late “Special Thanks” section or left out entirely, including himself.
  • He shared a revised credits image listing 36 former colleagues with their roles and flagged five people he said were omitted from the shipped credits.
  • A current EA developer told Game Developer that three of those five do appear elsewhere in the credits, suggesting at least two alleged omissions remain.
  • Ridgeline worked on Battlefield 6’s campaign for roughly one to two-and-a-half years before Lehto’s February 2024 departure and the studio’s closure, with some staff moved to Ripple Effect.
  • Multiple outlets report they have requested comment from EA, and no public correction or credits update has been announced as the game surpasses 7 million sales.
