Odermatt's victory was a wire-to-wire win, finishing 1.26 seconds ahead of Aleksander Aamodt Kilde and 1.77 ahead of Filip Zubcic.
The race was held in challenging conditions, with fog forcing organizers to shorten the course.
This is Odermatt's 29th career win in World Cup races and his 18th in his preferred giant slalom discipline.
