Maoist Zonal Commander With Rs 10 Lakh Bounty Killed in Jharkhand Encounter

  • Officials said the encounter began around 6 a.m. at Burjuwa Hill under Goilkera police station in West Singhbhum’s Saranda forest.
  • Police reported seizing an SLR rifle, explosives and other weapons from the site, as stated by Chaibasa SP Paras Rana.
  • Security forces launched extended combing operations in the surrounding forest to locate additional cadres, and searches are continuing.
  • The incident follows a September 3 exchange of fire in Palamu in which two policemen were killed and another critically injured in an operation against TSPC militants.
