Manuel Neuer Extends Contract with Bayern Munich Following Injury Comeback

The one-year extension keeps Neuer at Bayern through the 2024-25 season, with the team already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer has signed a one-year contract extension following his successful return from a broken leg.
The new contract ensures Neuer will still be a Bayern player when Germany hosts the European Championship next year and through to the end of the 2024-25 season, when the Champions League final will be played at Bayern's home stadium.
Since Neuer's return, Bayern has won five out of six games, scoring 20 goals and conceding just five.
Bayern has already qualified for the Champions League knockout stages and is on a run of 17 consecutive wins in group-stage games.
Bayern's defender Matthijs de Ligt returned to individual training following a knee injury, but is not expected to play for Bayern again this year.
