Overview

  • FC Goa confirmed on July 18 that Marquez has signed a deal to remain head coach for a third season in 2025–26.
  • His opening assignment will be the AFC Champions League 2 qualifier against Al-Seeb Club at Fatorda Stadium on August 13.
  • Marquez and the AIFF mutually ended his stint as India head coach on July 2 after eight matches yielded a single win.
  • During his two prior seasons at FC Goa, Marquez led the Gaurs to two straight ISL semi-finals and four consecutive playoff berths across 62 matches.
