Mann, Kejriwal Launch Rs 75.08 Crore Revamp of Patiala’s Shri Kali Mata Temple

Officials set a one-year target for heritage-sensitive upgrades with new crowd controls.

  • The plan covers beautification, pond refurbishment with Bhakra Canal water (Rs 1.15 crore), sewage and drainage upgrades (Rs 49.06 lakh), and an Aam Aadmi Clinic (Rs 25 lakh).
  • A light-and-sound show near the pond is budgeted at Rs 6.78 crore, with tenders already issued for the work.
  • A comprehensive master plan is being prepared to guide heritage conservation, pilgrimage facilities, sanitation, parking and traffic management.
  • Measures include redesigned entrances, a token system for prasad distribution, a completed pilgrims’ hall and parking for about 300 vehicles, with completion expected within a year.
