Manipur Raids Net UKNA Commander and CKMA Chief as Forces Seize Arms and Narcotics

Investigators are mapping militant supply routes following Operation Songkot plus parallel arrests tied to cross-border trafficking.

  • Assam Rifles said it apprehended UKNA senior commander SS Lt Jamkhogin Guite Lupho, alias Pepsi, with five others during an October 1 jungle sweep codenamed Operation Songkot in Churachandpur.
  • Police reported that one detainee from the group is suspected in the January 18, 2024 Bishnupur killings and has been handed to the NIA, with a 14-year-old sent to an observation home and four adults remanded.
