- Chief Secretary Prashant Kumar Singh reiterated on May 29 that no instructions were ever given to conceal the word “Manipur” on the state transport bus during the Shirui Festival.
- Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla formed a two-member inquiry committee headed by the Home Commissioner and IT Secretary to probe the May 20 Gwaltabi incident, promising strict action if any lapses are identified.
