Overview
- Joint teams from the Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces, Assam Rifles and the Indian Army recovered 155 firearms and 1,652 rounds of ammunition during hill-district raids.
- The arsenal included eight AK-series rifles, two INSAS rifles, four carbines, an SLR and a variety of 12-bore, single-barrel and country-made pistols.
- Authorities seized 31 locally made mortars, 39 improvised explosive devices and 13 hand grenades to undermine militant explosives networks.
- Security personnel also recovered 15 communication sets and four binoculars used by insurgent groups for command and control.
- Officials called the operation a major step in restoring public safety under President’s Rule and urged residents to report any suspicious activities.
