Manhunt Expands for Suspect in Devil’s Den State Park Double Homicide

Police have sealed off Devil’s Den State Park to secure the scene for forensic teams, requesting visitor photos or videos of the suspect.

  • Arkansas State Police are treating the deaths of Clinton David Brink, 43, and Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, as a double homicide after they were found slain on a Devil’s Den hiking trail; their two young daughters were unharmed.
  • The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build wearing dark shorts, a dark tank top and weight-lifting gloves, and was seen fleeing in a black four-door sedan with its license plate covered by tape.
  • Col. Mike Hagar said all available resources, including Arkansas State Police troopers, park rangers and the FBI’s Little Rock office, are combing the remote, rugged park for leads.
  • Investigators have sent the victims’ bodies to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for forensic examination to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
  • Park officials have closed all trails and are urging anyone at the park on Saturday to submit cellphone or GoPro footage for images of the suspect.
