Manhunt Continues for Armed Suspect After Two Illinois Officers Wounded

Seventy-year-old David Jordan remains armed, dangerous, last seen riding a red bicycle after fleeing a house fire following the shooting of two officers.

  • Two officers from the Gibson City Police Department and Ford County Sheriff’s Department were shot early on August 9 while responding to a report of a naked man on the 100 block of Ash Street.
  • Both officers were treated for non­-life-­threatening injuries at local hospitals and are expected to recover.
  • Jordan’s residence caught fire shortly after the shooting and firefighters later declared the house at 146 W. Ash St. a total loss with an estimated $175,000 in damages and $50,000 to an adjacent home.
