Manhunt After Inmate Serving 23 Years for Attempted Murder Absconds From Cheshire Prison

Police urge the public to call 999 on sightings, warning people not to approach.

  • Kieran Cameron, 43, was reported missing from HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington at 8:20pm on Tuesday, January 6.
  • He is unlawfully at large while serving a 23-year sentence for a 2016 Dorset attempted murder in which a 22-year-old man was stabbed about 10 times.
  • Cheshire Police released his description as white, about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, with heavily receding hair and a ginger and grey beard.
  • Officers say he has extensive links to Liverpool, Manchester and Dorset.
  • Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or use the Cheshire Police online form quoting IML 2247029, and to dial 999 immediately if he is seen.
