Manhattan Man Charged with Murdering Mother in Riverside Park

Miguel Duval allegedly pushed his mother down an embankment following an argument, resulting in her death.

Vianel Garcia, 44, died after being pushed down a grassy embankment in Riverside Park.
Her son, Miguel Duval, 22, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder.
The incident occurred near Riverside Drive and West 165th Street in Washington Heights.
Garcia was rushed to Harlem Hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
Duval resides in a nearby shelter and was taken into custody immediately after the incident.
