Just seven days after the historic $50 million Powerball prize was claimed by a Mandurah couple, a Aussie has hit the bitter-sweet jackpot, but they won’t be crying over $5m.

  • Their $28.20 Slikpik 18 entry was purchased via Lotterywest’s Play Online, and they plan more family time, a stay‑at‑home dad role, and modest home upgrades.
  • One week later, a Brisbane woman became the lone division one winner of draw 1540, taking $5,251,280.07 with numbers 19, 11, 12, 4, 29, 13, 27 and Powerball 20.
  • Lotterywest says four WA division one Powerball wins have delivered about $125 million in prizes this year, while ticket sales have generated over $92 million for community grants.
