Late on Wednesday, June 3, Yahoo Sports reported that Mancini is expected to sign a new Roma deal running to 2029 with an option for 2030 and wages of €3.5 million per year.
Earlier on the same day Football Italia, citing Sky Sport Italia, said Inter were monitoring Mancini closely and were prepared to make a formal offer if renewal talks with Roma stalled.
Mancini is under contract at Roma until June 30, 2027 and was a defensive mainstay last season, playing 45 games, scoring five goals and helping Roma record one of Serie A’s best defenses.
No formal bids for Mancini or for Udinese centre-back Oumar Solet have been reported and the coverage remains publicly contradictory, with Roma staff and some journalists describing the player as indispensable.
