Overview

  • Manchester United’s new match categorisation ticket model for 2025/26 sets six high-profile Premier League games as Category A (£59-£97), 11 as Category B (£57-£86), two as Category C (£37-£60) and domestic cup ties as Category D (£32-£52).
  • Around 20,000 match-by-match members will face price increases of more than 50 per cent for most league tickets, while the club’s 50,000-plus season ticket holders remain unaffected.
  • The Manchester United Supporters Trust branded the changes a “fresh kick in the teeth” and warned that steep rises and lack of proper consultation risk doing enormous harm to Old Trafford’s atmosphere.
  • Chief executive Omar Berrada and other club executives say the model brings United in line with other Premier League clubs, reflects varying demand and incorporates feedback the Fan Advisory Board reviewed.
  • The pricing overhaul forms part of co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s cost-cutting measures to tackle last season’s £66m operating loss and shore up finances after the club’s worst finish in 51 years.
