Overview

  • The £50 million project, funded partly by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s $300 million capital injection, finished on time and within budget more than a week before the 2025/26 Premier League season kicked off.
  • Foster + Partners, under architect Lord Norman Foster, led the year-long revamp to deliver a state-of-the-art training environment focused on collaboration, innovation and excellence.
  • Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad and much of the club’s executive leadership have now moved into the upgraded facility, centralizing football and administrative operations on one campus.
  • Enhanced features include advanced fitness, nutrition, recovery and sports-science technology alongside open workspaces and increased natural light to foster team unity and performance.
  • This stands as the biggest Carrington upgrade since its 2000 opening and follows a £10 million women’s and academy building in 2024, bringing total investment at the complex to over £60 million in three years.
