Overview
- Samuel Lee, 40, received a bedside arraignment on felony counts including attempted first-degree assault, assault on public safety personnel, and criminal firearm possession.
- Police say Lee fled a traffic stop over a misused plate, drove over stop sticks, then fired multiple rounds at pursuing officers on I-84 in East Hartford.
- Officer Kyle Busse returned fire from his cruiser, striking Lee in the right hip; Lee surrendered and was taken to Hartford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
