Manchester City Sign Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for £25 Million

Manchester City have signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for £25 million on a four-year contract.
Kovacic will inherit Ilkay Gundogan's number eight shirt at Manchester City.
Chelsea are rebuilding their midfield and looking to trim their squad, making Kovacic's sale to Manchester City a good fit for both clubs.
Manchester City will pay an initial £25million for Kovacic, with an additional £5m agreed in add-ons.
Manchester City's director of football Txiki Begiristain said Kovacic has the tactical and technical qualities they are looking for in a midfielder.
