Manchester City Assistant Coach Borrell Hired as Sporting Director of MLS's Austin FC

Austin FC has hired Rodolfo Borrell as their sporting director.
Borrell was previously the assistant manager at Manchester City, where he won several major trophies.
Austin FC is a new team in Major League Soccer that reached the Western Conference final last season.
Borrell joins Austin FC after nine seasons at Manchester City, first as global technical director and then as assistant coach under Pep Guardiola.
Sean Rubio, Austin FC's interim sporting director, will now serve as senior vice president for player personnel.
