Manchester Airport Consolidates to Terminal 2 as Emirates Moves Nov. 18, EasyJet Nov. 19

The move forms part of a £1.3bn upgrade centralising operations into the expanded Terminal 2.

Overview

  • From November 19, all airlines except Ryanair will operate from Terminal 2, according to the airport’s latest update.
  • Emirates switches from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 on November 18 and easyJet follows on November 19, with airlines contacting affected passengers directly.
  • Terminal 1 will close to passengers, with its space repurposed to expand and refurbish Terminal 3.
  • The airport can transfer official parking bookings to suitable Terminal 2 car parks at no extra cost and lounge bookings made via the official site must be cancelled and rebooked for Terminal 2, while third‑party reservations must be managed with the provider.
  • New Terminal 2 outlets already open include the Lego shop, Joe & The Juice and Pandora, with the Great Northern Market, the first Wetherspoons, additional bars such as Fever-Tree and a new pier to follow, and Terminal 3’s Sporting Chance sports bar slated for early next year.
