Man with Criminal Record Arrested for Murder of N.J Councilwoman

Rashid Ali Bynum was arrested in Virginia for the fatal shooting of New Jersey councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour in February.
Bynum has a lengthy criminal record, including firearms charges in Virginia in 2015 and Maryland in 2019.
Bynum's number was saved as a contact in Dwumfour's phone with the acronym FCF, which authorities believe stood for the Fire Congress Fellowship, a church Dwumfour once belonged to.
Dwumfour was a former EMT, IT consultant, and active in her local church and nonprofit groups.
Bynum faces a count of first-degree murder and gun-related charges in Dwumfour's death and could face life in prison if convicted.
