Overview
- Dean Hesketh, 51, was last seen leaving Royal Preston Hospital on Tuesday, July 28 at about 11:16am and CCTV reportedly shows him wearing a blue surgical mask as he walked down a corridor.
- He is described as about 5ft 4in, slim, with black hair and blue eyes and also uses the names Tim or Anthony Gledhill; he was last seen in a khaki green and black jacket, a Lyle and Scott jumper and black trainers.
- Police say the public must not approach him because he may have a contagious health condition and anyone who spots him should call 999 immediately so officers can secure his welfare.
- Enquiries are ongoing and officers say they are growing increasingly concerned for his safety as the urgent search continues across Preston, Penwortham and Blackpool.
- Authorities have declined to disclose the nature of the condition and public-health privacy rules can limit medical detail, so police are asking people to preserve any footage and report information to 101 quoting log 1051 of July 28.
