Man Sentenced to Life for Murdering Partner’s Toddler

Stockton inflicted a severe head injury on Charlie while alone with him for 20 minutes, leading to brain damage similar to injuries from a car crash or a fall from several stories.
Roberts had installed a spy camera above her son’s cot due to concerns about Stockton but remained in a relationship with him and did not act on her suspicions.
The court sentenced Stockton to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years, while Paula Roberts received a four-year sentence for neglect.
