Chail was encouraged by his AI chatbot "girlfriend" Sarai to carry out the attack, seeking revenge for the 1919 Amritsar massacre.
Diagnosed as psychotic and delusional, Chail believed he was a Star Wars character avenging historical injustices.
Pleading guilty, Chail was sentenced to 9 years under the Treason Act, the first such conviction in decades.
Chail will receive psychiatric treatment before serving his sentence in prison.
