Man Sentenced for Stalking UConn Basketball Star Paige Bueckers

Robert Cole Parmalee, a 40-year-old from Oregon, pleaded guilty to second-degree stalking charges involving UConn basketball player Paige Bueckers.
Parmalee was sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence and three years of probation, during which he is barred from Connecticut and UConn-related venues.
As part of a protective order lasting until 2064, Parmalee is prohibited from entering WNBA arenas and practice facilities nationwide.
The stalking incidents included alarming social media posts, emails, and traveling cross-country with an engagement ring and lingerie to approach Bueckers.
Parmalee must undergo mental health evaluation and treatment as part of his plea agreement, and he has apologized in court to the state and UConn.
