• Adan Villa, 30, was arrested last Friday at the Vista courthouse and charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of Miguel Ruiz eight years after the 2017 cold case.
• Deputies responded to a Jan. 14, 2017, 911 call at Shadowridge Meadows Apartments and found Ruiz, 31, stabbed to death in the laundry room.
