Man Pleads Guilty to Riot and Assaulting Police Officer in Tamworth

Simon Orr, from Tamworth, has pleaded guilty to rioting and assaulting a female police officer during summer disorder in the UK.
The riot on August 4 involved attacking and setting fire to a hotel housing asylum seekers in Tamworth.
Orr was already under a suspended sentence for previous offences including theft, assault, and driving while disqualified.
CCTV footage showing Orr's active participation and encouragement of violence will be presented at his sentencing on October 11.
In a separate case, Matthew Hodgekinson, 33, also pleaded guilty to violent disorder in Stoke-on-Trent and awaits sentencing.
