Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of Kent Artist Claire Knights

Harrison Lawrence Van-Pooss, 21, admitted to killing Claire Knights, whose body was found in August 2023, and faces sentencing in the new year.

Claire Knights, a 54-year-old artist from Upstreet, Kent, was found dead two days after going missing while walking her dog in August 2023.

Van-Pooss also admitted to a separate charge of using a mobile phone to film under a woman's clothing without her consent the day before the murder.
Knights' cause of death was determined to be blunt-force trauma and drowning, according to an inquest held last year.
Knights was remembered by her family as a loving mother and trailblazing artist, with tributes highlighting her exceptional creativity and love for animals.
