Man Loses Arm in Alligator Attack Outside Florida Bar

A 23-year-old man's arm was bitten off by a 10-foot alligator in a pond behind Banditos Bar in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Bystanders saved the man's life by applying a tourniquet and calling for help before he was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Myers.
The alligator was captured and killed by officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
The victim underwent emergency surgery and will face more procedures in his recovery.
While recovering, the victim expressed gratitude for those who helped save his life and optimism despite his traumatic injury.
