Overview

• The incident occurred late on June 25 in Lukaia village under the jurisdiction of Mufassil police station in Giridih district.
• Police identified the victims as 30-year-old Chotelal Hansda and his wife Meena, who had been married for about eight years.
• Officials say Chotelal stabbed Meena at her parental home during a heated argument before attempting to flee.
• Meena’s family members and local villagers intercepted Chotelal and beat him to death at the scene.
